Essential Therapies was set up in June 2006 by Jane Barnett, a complementary therapist. As the company became more successful, specialising in medico legal work...the need for more therapists to come on board occurred. Therefore, the company has expanded and now acts as a therapy agency to cover treatments and events throughout the Durham Tees Valley and Tyne & Wear region.

Various therapists, with many disciplines and experience make up essential therapies...most therapists are qualified in more than one discipline covering aromatherapy, reflexology, remedial massage, acupressure, palliative care, reiki, Indian head massage & Tibetan head massage and Hopi ear candles to name but a few of the treatments available.

Jane Barnett is a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists - FHT, The Academy of On Site Massage - AOSM, and is an associate member of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Massage & Soft Tissue Therapies (CPMaSTT).
The CPMaSTT is a clinical interest group of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. The Society recognises and accredits clinical interest groups that represent a distinct field of physiotherapy clinical practice that may be specific to a client group, a clinical area or a particular treatment approach.
and also a member of Back Care - The Charity for Healthier Backs.

All practitioners of Essential Therapies Ltd are highly qualified and fully insured.

Physiotherapists are often brought in as and when required for consultation and or treatment depending on the individual.
