Hopi Ear Candle Treatment £20 ~ 30 minutes

Hopi Ear Candles (also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy) is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the wars, used to treat a variety of conditions such as:

* Excessive or compared wax in the ears
* Pressure regulation in cases of: sinusitis / rhinitis / glue ear / colds / flu / headaches / migraine
* Irritation in ears and sinuses
* Stimulation of local and reflex energy flow
* Energetic revitalisation in cases of hearing impairment
* Relaxing and calming effect in cases of stress
* Noises in ears, ringing, tinnitus

These ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes.

The candles are made from the natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, St Johns Wort, chamomile, beta-carotene and organically grown flax. The candles work on a chimney principle, drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. They equalise the pressure in the head and ears, making them suitable for most conditions. Secretion flow is gently stimulated and the vapour collects and removes impurities or deposits. Most of these are carried away through the candle "chimney", although some of them can be found in the condensed candle wax residue after removal from the ear.

Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage £23 ~ 45 minutes

Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage is not just another version of Indian Head Massage; it is a completely unique therapy! It draws on the ancient wisdom and philosophies of Tibetan Ayurveda. The therapy is performed with the client fully clothed in a reclining or lying position and includes massage of the scalp, face, neck, throat, shoulders and upper arms.

Warm, aromatic oil is applied to these areas, whilst the therapist massages the client with slow, gentle, circular movements around specific acupressure points! Unlike other forms of massage, no clothing is removed or oils used and the client relaxes into a specially designed chair. The treatment takes only 20 minutes and as well as relieving aches and pains, it leaves the client feeling de-stressed, full of energy and with improved mental alertness!

Remedial Massage 1hr £40

Probably the best way to describe remedial massage - A 'toolbox' of techniques that the massage therapist will incorporate into the massage session to relieve pain and / or restriction of movement in a specific part of the body!

'Trigger points' on the body will be worked on in order to relax the muscles, and whilst this will feel slightly uncomfortable, the therapist will always work within the 'comfort zone' of the client.

Stretches may also be incorporated into the session as and when required in order to improve muscle rehabilitation.

Session includes Range of Motion & Postural Assessment, Remedial Techniques, Stretches, Home / Self Treatment Advice, Treatment Plan - Follow up Advice.

Sports Massage £45 - 1 Hour

When applied skillfully, massage is the most effective therapy in order to release muscle tension and restore balance to the musculo-skeletal system.

When applied regularly this may assist athletes in preventing injuries, which may otherwise be caused by overuse. Constant build-up of tension in the muscles from regular activity can lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves.

These imbalances within the muscles may develop and often go undiagnosed until they are serious enough to cause the athlete discomfort or impede their performance. The sports massage therapist is able to detect variations in the soft tissues and by using specific techniques, helps the sports person maintain a much healthier physical state.

It may therefore be reasonably claimed that one of the greatest benefits of sports massage is in helping to prevent injuries.
