Is treatment suitable for me?
Our treatments are suitable for most people and I have clients ranging from 5-95yrs old. However there are times when treatment may not be suitable for you, such as: if you have a cold, flu or fever. If you have a contagious disease or skin condition or if you have had major surgery in the last 3 months. If you'd like to discuss if treatment is suitable for you, then please feel free to call me for an informal chat.
Can men have facials?
Yes, regardless of whether you have skin concerns that you wish to address or you just want to relax and unwind. All of our treatments are suitable for both men and women.
I have very sensitive skin, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and or
auto-immune conditions. Are your facials suitable for me?
Yes, your facial will be targeted to your unique skin concerns. We have products and techniques to help calm and heal your skin, and as someone who has struggled with some of these issues myself, I get it!
Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
We are on the 2nd floor of a building that is only accessible by stairs, however if you are in need of treatment then please get in touch as we may be able to recommend a suitable mobile therapist from our network.
Do you offer mobile treatments?
Mobile treatments are available for group bookings and retreats only. Please contact Kaya for more information on this service.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, gift vouchers are available. You can purchase a gift voucher from Kaya at the studio or alternatively payment can be taken remotely by text invoice. The voucher will then be posted within 42hrs or can be hand delivered if the recipient lives locally. For more information please check out our gift vouchers page.
Cancellations and rescheduling your appointment
Please note that a cancellation fee will be charged for no-shows and appointments cancelled without 48hrs notice. 50% for the first missed appointment and 100% thereafter.
How many treatments will I need?
You are welcome to come for as many or as few treatments as you wish. However if you are coming for the treatment of an injury or pain problem then I usually advise a few sessions closer together, for example every week for a few sessions, then every 4-6 weeks if a regular maintenance treatment is necessary. Sometimes one session is all that is needed to resolve the problem. I will usually give my recommendation at the end of the initial appointment. I also have many clients who have been booking a regular 4-6 weekly maintenance treatment with me for years, simply because they feel the many benefits and enjoy the ritual.
What is your preferred method of contact?
Email or text is preferable for booking your appointment. Due to the nature of my work my phone is turned off for the majority of the day, so to avoid too much back and forth, trying to catch each other, email/text generally work best.
If a phone call is necessary then this is of course no problem and I will respond to voicemails as soon as is possible. Usually within 24hrs.

I have a cold, can I still come for treatment?
No, please contact me to reschedule your appointment if you have any symptoms of a cold, flu or fever. In cases of genuine illness and where the client has notified me the cancellation fee may be wavered at the therapists discretion.
How can I make the most of my treatment?

What skincare brands do you use in your treatments?
We primarily use Evolve Organic Beauty and their sister brand Adaptology in our facial treatments and Botanicals aromatherapy oils in our bodywork treatments. However we are always experimenting with new products and adding to our collection. Please check out our apothecary page for more information on why we choose to work with these incredible brands.
Health, Safety & Covid-19
Please be assured that I take sanitation and your health very seriously. I want to reassure all my clients that you will be in a safe, sterile and relaxing environment.
As well as my usual stringent hygiene protocols I have also introduced a few new common sense measures.
I have extended the designated time between clients. This extra time allows plenty of space for changing the couch and disinfecting all high touch surfaces such as products etc with a hospital grade alcohol disinfectant.
I will be taking and recording my temperature daily before practice.
I have instilled an air purifier in the treatment room and windows will be open when the weather allows.
We are unable to treat you if you or a member of your household have experienced any coronavirus symptoms in the last 14 days. In this instance please reschedule your appointment for after your self isolation period.
If you have recently tested negative for Covid-19 but still have cold or flu symptoms, we request that you do not come for treatment until after these have passed.
As my regular clients will be aware, I always ask you to reschedule your appointments if you have any signs of a cold, flu or fever. This is now more important than ever and with this in mind my cancellation policy is more flexible at this time.
You will be asked to sign an additional consent form declaring that you are not a confirmed or suspected Covid-19 case and aware of the risks are happy to proceed with treatment.
Your temperature will be taken.
You do not have to wear a mask during your treatment unless you wish to.
